Position Purpose:

The primary purpose for this position is to conduct the drawings for the drawing-style games offered by the Mississippi Lottery Corporation (MLC).

*Note: This is an in-person, part-time position that is not eligible for benefits. 


Major Tasks, Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities:

The following duties are normal for this job and should not be construed as exclusive or all-inclusive. Other duties may be required and assigned.

  • Conduct draw-style game drawings utilizing digital draw systems.
  • Monitor and execute daily draw processing utilizing established procedures.
  • Prepare, plan, and verify documentation supporting successful completion of draw activities.
  • Perform draw result updates to the Interactive Voice Response (IVR) system.
  • Verify that the MLC website is updated with the correct winning number information.
  • Monitor and execute production processing to assure accuracy and timely completion of workload.
  • Compare and document Internal Control System (ICS) and gaming vendor’s production processing results.
  • Troubleshoot and report draw processing and reporting issues to appropriate personnel for resolution.
  • Retrieve files and reports from vendors.
  • Verify and distribute daily reports.
  • Ability to work rotating shifts (afternoon/evening), as well as weekends and holidays.

Education and/or Experience:

High school Diploma (or GED) required.

One to two years of data processing or IT experience with a working knowledge of Microsoft Office products; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this job is preferred.

  • Ability to operate and/or troubleshoot issues with Microsoft Windows PC’s.
  • Ability to follow established electronic checklists and procedures.
  • Ability to adapt to change and report abnormalities in a timely manner.

Work Environment:

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and fax machines. The noise level in the office is usually moderate.
